Lantern has appointed Charlie Markham as its first Chief Technology Officer to scale Lantern’s ground-breaking technological capabilities and help drive the next phase of the firm’s growth.

In his role as CTO, Markham will play a pivotal role in advancing Lantern’s position as a leading provider of technology for private markets. Based in Lantern’s London office, Markham will lead Lantern’s data science and engineering teams, working closely with the wider leadership team to deliver Lantern’s proven cutting-edge technology faster and at scale as part of the company’s strategic global expansion efforts. Some near-term priorities include incorporating Lantern’s natural language search functionality into the platform and delivering a scenario modelling to enable forward looking analysis.

Charlie’s forward-thinking approach and commitment to pushing technological boundaries make him the ideal leader to drive our innovation initiatives. We believe Charlie's expertise and track record of developing pioneering, robust, enterprise-level software will not only serve to extend our capabilities but will also be crucial as we look to make Lantern the go-to platform for private markets.

Edward Moore, Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Markham brings extensive fintech experience to the role, having served in a number of CTO and COO roles at scale-up technology firms and major financial institutions including UBS and HSBC. Most recently he served as CTO at financial planning and reporting software firm, Metapraxis.

I am delighted to be joining Lantern at this pivotal moment in the business’s growth. The team have already built an incredible platform and product offering, and there is much more in the pipeline. I look forward to growing and developing Lantern’s technology capabilities, drawing on my decade of experience as a CTO.
